This particular painting happened one night after talking to a friend who is a single mother by choice simply because she found out too late that the babies father was not all that he had once portrayed. He drank, did drugs and gambled, and even spent time in jail for assault charges. She revealed emotions that we couldn't begin to grasp unless we were in her shoes. She still wanted to be with him and gave him many chances to change. Of course there came the day when she realized that enough was enough and that she would be strong and do it alone. |
